History

This power plant was built in the 1940 to provide electricity to nearby steel works in addition to the nearby 1899 gas power plant, which was sadly completly closed (and probably under alarm due to restoration works). The turbine hall is empty but the boiler house is still in quite good condition.

In a nearby building were some nice looking decayed pumps

I would have really liked to visit the gas engines hall, but sadly there was not any access.

Hi everyone!

I recently went back to this site and took much more exterior shots as I regreted not to have done so last time. I also discovered a whole new and beautiful part with lockers and a workshop which I really loved as almost nothing moved since the closure in the 1990's.

I also have to make a correction as this plant was powered by blast furnace gas and not coal.

Hey, if a moderator reads this, it's possible to rename the report "Blast furnace gas power plant"? As I said earlier I was wrong, it was not running on coal but with the gas produced by the nearby blast furnaces.
Thanks in advance!

Stunning work. I can’t wait for lockdowns to ease so I can get back on some Euro trips.
