Report - Coal tunnel in Dover?

Don’t really know much about this as we just found in while searching round the esplanade area. We believe it has something to do with some kind of coal works that used to be nearby. It’s only two rooms connected with a tunnel but I’ve never heard of it before so I may as we’ll document it. I can imagine this being connected to the holy grail(just to confirm; it’s not.) and it’s really quite odd. Found some animal bones there but I also found them in that tunnel behind Buckland Hospital and in Pic Axe Alley. Another theory for this one is that it’s an underground church we heard rumours of but there were no real signs of that. And yeah, that’s it. Sorry if it’s small but I was wondering if any of you had ever seen it. Many thanks; HRed

The only thing I can tell you about this is that it has nothing to do with coal.

There is a tunnel related to coal in Dover - but it is filled in. It was part of the aerial ropeway from Tilmanstone mine:
