This was done in two trips; the first trip was with @plod, @TheMythicalBeast and a non-member. It was pretty awkward to find an access point so we only had time to explore the IDA ward because we had a lot planned for the rest of the day. The second trip was just me and @TheMythicalBeast, thanks to @YorkshireLuchador for the advice we managed to find our way into the main hospital.

Cookridge Hospital is a grade II listed building which opened in 1869. During WW1, the hospital was requisitioned to care for soldiers, and it eventually returned to caring for civilians in 1919. Over time, the hospital was extended with more wards that specialized in different medical fields, the main ward specializing in treatment of cancer. These facilities were transferred to the Bexley wing of St James' Oncology Unit, and the hospital closed in 2008 and is now awaiting demolition.

IDA Ward
After spending about 20 minutes wandering around the site and crawling under the floorboards trying to find a way in, I unexpectedly came across the access point that we thought we'd never find. The hospital is extremely far gone by this point and I'd have liked to have seen a bit more equipment in there, but nevertheless it was still a great explore. We even saw 2 foxes on the site :D

The Main Hospital
Had another day of exploring with @TheMythicalBeast, shortly after one of the first few explores of the day I realized I had forgotten to bring my SD card so I had to make do with my phone camera for this one :banghead
Getting in here was certainly a challenge but it was definitely worth the effort.

I'd like to go here can you tell me how I can get in?
Hey mate, I don't give out access information for a few reasons, it's important not to rely on others for things like this because with a little bit of effort you'll find your way in on your own. I noticed you're looking for others to explore with, so if you want you can tag along with me and maybe a few others on our next Leeds explore. Feel free to message me anyway :)

Nice shots, glad you enjoyed yourself. Bet you were gutted about your memory card! Do you think that bee and butterfly had a battle to the death?

A Buffalo mentions, it's best to ask question like this privately mate, I made this mistake when I first joined. No-one will advise things like this on a public forum, too dangerous and will spoil future adventures for other people.

Thanks! I was really gutted about it but at least it gives me an excuse to go back haha. There were actually about 3 other butterflies in that corner so maybe ;)
And yeah I spoke to him yesterday, he's actually quite a nice guy and he understands everything now :thumb

They are currently building a housing estate nearby but on site there were no workers both times I went, although I was there on a weekend so that could be why. Good luck if you do try again :)
