Coopers Arms is a Grade II Listed Public House situated on Market Place in Reading.
As far as i know the building has always been a pub until it closed in 2008 due to plummeting trade and was due for redevelopment along with the buildings next door such as a Grade II Listed Tudor Cottage (Also Still Empty) and the famous Arcade building known as Bristol & West which is also still standing empty and derelict.
The building was built in the 1700s and was given a listed status in the 1970s.
Development on all of the buildings never happened in 2008 due to the developer went broke so the land was passed on to Sonic Star Properties.
The Coopers was let off to a Arts and Crafts company for a 2 years up until 2010 and the building became derelict and falling into disrepair and the same for the buildings next to it.
Its a pretty cool place to explore with everything well preserved and not damaged one worth looking into.
