Gabe - i think you've been a tad harsh on this site. Had a really good wander round (huge site) and there's plenty of interest left here, it's not all shells. I had virtually no light but i'll be back with some shots and a report shortly.

^ Agreed - a lot of it has been stripped but there's still a decent amount left, particularly in the rectory and tech labs. Report coming soon And Skiptour, looking forward to seeing your pics too :)

I guess this comes down to the question of what you're exploring for. The pic above is a shell of a pretty modern building, this site has several very old and ornate buildings. Granted they may be mostly empty, but their architectural significance coupled with the reamining items of interest within some of them surely mean this site is worth a good looksie for most?

Hi,

I went to University here in 1987 to 91. Amazing old place. It was also used as the St.Trinians school building in the old black and white films.

The top floor of the old building in the eves is as it was in WW1. There is also an old back building with an artesian well and steam pump...
