Not sure if this has been noticed already or maybe somebody has already been in but about a month ago I noticed that a large section of the Hospital/Drop In Centre at the very beginning of the Stoney Stanton Road has been boarded up

It's basically as soon as you leave the ring road and join the SS road, looks fairly well locked down and over looked but I'm sure there'll be ways in

I'm thinking of exploring the hospital soon, just wondered wether you have explored it yet or know anyone who has.

It's down to be developed for yet more accommodation for Coventry university. It's listed so shouldn't be knocked down. I don't think the hexagonal building on the end is set for development There is also the Rose and Woodbine pub built in 1898 a little further up the SS road. Has some nice external features not sure of the state of the inside. It's been boarded up for a while now and was sold at auction a few months ago which has been boarded up for a while. You can get a good look on Gmaps https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.4...MreccaGw3WZyiq5LEAsQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en Why do features on gmaps dissappear when you move closer If you view the pub from slightly further away looking from the drop in centre the auction board is clear when you move nearer it disappears?

From what I can remember, both the Outpatients Clinic and the former Nurses Home are listed buildings with a lot of character hidden behind hardboard and institutional gloss paintjobs. By my recollections, in the Victorian outpatients [octagonal building] there was a marble drinking fountain in the corridor that was painted over by the last time I was there.

Great to hear if it is possible? PastaMasta.

I know this was ages ago, but I only just read back on this thread. Main building was mostly stripped but the octagonal building was a bit more preserved, never noticed the drinking fountain though.

I've been recently, both buildings are accessible if you're fit enough to climb one wall, awesome buildings but the huge hospital building is empty , relatively good condition, but once you've seen one room they're all pretty similar. pretty cool basement. In the octagonal building watch out for endless amounts of drug needles. also looks like someone still lives there, clearly homeless.
