Wasn't gonna visit this place at first since it seemed to be just a quarry, but so glad we did. Love this place. Even though some of the buildings were locked up the main attraction was the big conveyor, and we had that all to ourselves.
Access is dead easy, and there didn't seem to be an attempt really to stop people getting through, we even saw a bloke walking his dog down there.
As far as I know the site has been closed since 2010 but has been used since the 1700s
