The old airfield which Cricklade is situated is now owned by English Nature who apparently hoped to open the post by 2003, and have the post as a Bat Hiberculum.
Sadly this isnt the case, and the post looks in a pretty ruined way. The surface features are quite severley damaged, and the hatch has been pretty much removed, and now has a huge Iron bar across the hatch. In my experience, this either means the post is flooded, or ruined.
The post still stands in its compound with most fencing posts intact with gate...
