Report - Croft ROC Post - (Yorkshire Group) - September 08

1991 Closure.

On my way to a job yesterday I just couldn't resist looking at the odd ROC Post

This one is just off the A1 and I knew I shouldn't risk it as soon as I saw it. The place is completely overgrown with thorn bushes, stingers and brambles.

The post itself is incredibly hard to get to. The hatch is broken and very hard to lift. Inside it's in nice condition, loads of paperwork and someone has put train pictures on the wall. Not a post I want to visit again.

A brick built aircraft post sits nearby completely enveloped by the scrub.

No this photo is not "upside down" LOL, the plug is.

Looks like being hard to get at has helped deter the morons though - there's some nice bits down there.
