this short tunnel and culvert are under the old lnwr railway line at shepshed ppl often mistake the tunnel for a canal tunnel but the canal ran along the top in a cast iron trough ,the tunnel was originly built for excess water from the nearby reservoir the raised walk way whice ppl think was part of the towpath was for the farmers to walk along as they drove animals through the tunnel.
