Surface Features remain intact, there is a steel sleeve over the top of the access shaft with flat bar welded over the cover, at some point someone has tried to cut through the bars but hasn't got through all of them.
The ventilation louvres have been removed and the space behind them filled with concrete.
The post opened in 1958 and closed in 1991
