Explored with Oxygen Thief, Laura, Raddog and Speed.
Chance find while on our way to another location, this is one of the best textile mills I have seen. A huge complex, part used part idle but with stacks of features in the disused sections.
We found cupboards full of unused mill machinery, paperwork, skeps, and other textile mill junk left behind after the clearout. The tower, although a little rotten offered cracking views of the mill complex and the surrounding area.
By far the jewel in the crown was a small toolroom and workshop in one forgotten corner. All the machinery was still like shaft driven, and the tiny room was crammed full of gear wheels, loom parts, tools and tins and boxes of the bits and bobs that would have jept the looms spinning in the mills textile days. The 20 by 8 foot room is one of the best things I have seen in my time exploring....
