The Explore........

Visited this place a couple of times with Telf, the first time we got booted off the site a few months back by the 'zombie' organizers for airsoft games who now rent the hall and grounds, it was a bit comical being asked 'what are you doing' by a guy carrying a dead body.

So one afternoon, after another explore, we were back and the place was deserted. :)

A Bit of History.......

Daresbury Hall is a former country house in the village of Daresbury. It was built in 1759 for George Heron. The house is constructed in brown brick with stone dressings, and has a slate roof. Its architectural style is Georgian. The house is in three storeys and seven bays. It has a stone plinth and stone bands between the storeys. Framing the middle three bays are rusticated pilasters, and similar quoins at the corners. All the windows are sash windows. For some years from 1955 it was used by a charity, now known as Scope, as a residential home for handicapped people. The house is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building.

The main house itself is massive and connected to it is a large accommodation block and various other offices and catering facilities. An empty swimming pool sits out the back and the whole place is surrounded by overgrown woodland. Remnants of its past life lay scattered around the venue, which just add to the creepiness of the place. You can’t fail to be impressed as you make your way down the drive.

On with the pics...........:D

I hope you enjoyed the report..........I Will Knot :thumb
