Report - Daw Mill Colliery - Arley, Warwickshite

Had my first taste of exploring today, very tame compared to some of the posts I've seen on here but yesterday I'd never heard of this kind of thing so got to start somewhere.

Daw Mill was closed in 2013 and has been left to rot since, there have been a number of attempts to build on the site but as yet nothing.

Entry was fairly easy, theres not a lot to see there really, all of the remaining buildings have been tagged with graffiti and damaged. There are two winding wheels set in the ground as a monument with plaques.

I've wanted to visit this site for years as my granddad worked here many years ago, was nice to see the site and a great place to start off with.

I don’t even know how to upload a photo on here from safari lol pointless trying to take a photo deep underground in a pitch darkness. I have some saved insta story’s and that’s about it. We were walking for ages untill we came to a caved in bit that we couldn’t quite squeez through. When I go back with a bigger light and higher wellies then I’ll do a report on it

I would to go any further, we got to the bottom of the stairs and it’s looks like a flat floor with doors going left and right but in a foot of water so couldn’t carry on as didn’t plan this

I've got to be honest i didn't see any but it was only a quick look round as i was passing. I may be wrong but i am pretty sure they collapsed all the shafts after a underground fire a few years ago?

A quick look on YouTube confirms that there's some underground cable tunnels that are accessible.

And from another video it looks like one of the underground conveyor belt portals is accessible.
