Due to my Englishness, i can find little history on this carbonated drinks factory, my first solo Swedish explore, and my first swedish bust too
The United Kolsyrefabrikernas AB, which has the address Lövholmsbrinken 6, Liljeholmen was built in 1889 and was operational until the end of the 1988. This produced carbonic acid to beer and soft, and dry ice to the industry. A historical survey from 2008 that gives a lot of interesting industrial history. The block is called Lövholmen 13, and on the Stockholm City Planning.
The factory at Lövholmen was produced gas at the beginning of the Cretaceous and sulfuric acid, while in the slightly later plant in Limhamn were produced from
coke and limestone. The product actually produced was carbon dioxide, but the carbonic acid was trading name of the gas carbon dioxide during the time when the factory was active. Carbon dioxide will be linked when carbon dioxide dissolves in water. The production was a beginning entirely focused on liquid carbon dioxide, which was sought for the manufacture of soft drinks, mineral and beer garden. DFKs first customer base was therefore mineral water factories and breweries. In 1929 developed production to include dry ice, which mainly used in refrigeration and freezer shipments. carbonation eventually also to be used as fire extinguishing agents for machinery, apparatrum, electrical switchgear, etc. Towards the end of 1970 had further uses in the form of shielding gas in coffee roasters, pig stunning in abattoirs, carbon dioxide fertilization in market gardens, refrigeration of meat atcutting boards, etc.
