Des Armes (Weapons) is a poem by the Franco-Monegasque Léo Ferré (1916-1993) drawn from a larger unpublished work, written in the immediate aftermath of the May 1968 protests in France and entitled Lamentations front of Sorbonne. Published in 1969 in issue 5 of the anarchist journal La Rue. I have started to photograph this poem in light painting in the great southern network of the abandoned Quarries of Paris. This is only the beginning.
Des armes, des chouettes, des brillantes
Weapons, fantastic things, brilliant things
Things it's necessary to clean often for pleasure
And that it's necessary to caress as if for pleasure
Also, what makes the communion takers dream
Des armes, des chouettes, des brillantes
Weapons, fantastic things, brilliant things
Things it's necessary to clean often for pleasure
And that it's necessary to caress as if for pleasure
Also, what makes the communion takers dream
