Don’t really post derp houses much, I do visit them but find them all a bit samey tbh. But this one was local so I thought I’d make the effort! A very nice old house, built in 1859 according to the date stone and looks to have been vacant some time.

Internally the property is very dated, no toilet, no central heating and the house only had mains water supply connected in the mid-90’s. Thick cobwebs like tennis court nets adorn the corners of every room, drawers and dressers have their contents thieved and rummaged through, water damage to several areas including the top of the stairs… The usual stuff. Outside in the yard sit a vandalised blue Austin Maxi and an 80’s red Saab coupe alongside various decaying pieces of farm equipment.

During my visit I was followed around the house by a black cat the entire time, it was cute as hell but it turns out cats are pretty annoying when you’re trying to do long exposures!

A Victorian wash basin and stand. The soap dish still had an ancient bar of Wright's Coal Tar soap in it.
