Report - Donington on Bain Tunnel (Night shots)

Tonight madmax and I went to Donington on Bain tunnel which has featured on here in daylight. http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=11308&highlight=donington
After trudging around in the pitch black we started to head towards the car thinking that we wouldnt find it then we saw the embankment and went down to find the tunnel entrance.
We, however did bring our tripods

and took some interior shots, some good some not so

Who leaves a gate down there?.

Yes guys, but there dark and then there's dark, and it was dark

In the original daylight thread that Squirrell attached above, you can just see the other end of the tunnel in one pic.

It's getting on half a mile long at a guess.

A quick look on google for some decent history proved a little fruitless, but the line was running through Donington on Bain in the late 1800's by the sounds of it.

The tunnel is in pretty reasonable nick considering. It's a bit leaky in places but that's to be expected.
