Not the biggest explore but this really took some work to do.
Situated under the cannon rooms at dover castle we found this after a 3 hour trudge round the moats of dover.
After gaining access to the 1st level we were met with a 20ft shaft with a old ladder still in it ,climbing down that took us into a passage cut out of the chalk, where one tunnel led to the bottom of another shaft and another branched of under the wishing well {the tourist part}.
We went back to get the ladder to climb the next shaft to the second level and this is where the fun started, the workers who left it there had backfilled the passage with chalk making it impossible to pull the ladder out, Q a return trip 2 nights later with a pick axe and shovel.
All in all we moved a small skip full of chalk and earth to free the ladder, there was 2 more shafts after this which we had to repeat the process.
All good fun was coverd head to foot in chalk dust and shit by the time we finished and wasnt that big of a explore, but its untouched by the spray painting chavs and was kind of rewarding to do having put so much time and effort into it :crazy
1st level
old graffiti is always cool
way up two 2nd level
2nd level
top of the 3rd level
would these of had spiral staircases or ladders ??
back under ground
looking up at the shaft you would look down from the cannon room inside the castle {yep there was money at the bottom} lol
