the motor is one of the demo crew's. When we got there the place was being cleared, So a bit of begging and we manage to convince them we were not there to nick stuff. The main bloke understood why we wanted to document the place, But he has a grudge against a couple of us urban warriors, well thats what he called us lol

Nice one dave.. Urban warriors.. I shudder to think of being of being called that and you know why...lol!

Thanks PETZL for these pictures of Redcliffe House prior to its demolition. I worked there from 1968 to 1971 and again from 1990 to 2005 , certainly brings back some memories and I can identify every location pictured. The photo taken on level one was from the spot where my desk was prior to me leaving Drake & Scull (Emcor) in 2005. The PC shown is in the telephone room next to the "Caretakers Flat" on the top level, the old phone frames and patching apparatus was located here and a colleague (PJ) and myself were responsible for keeping the new state of art system running and making any necessary changes with this PC. During my first stint at Redcliffe House the caretaker Les and his wife still occupied the flat but by the time I returned it was converted to archive area as was a large proportion of the old stores area. Thanks again happy days remembered but these photo show the sad demise of the building.
