So.. My first report..
Durham Fire Station
A little History
The service was formed on 1 April 1948 as a result of the Fire Services Act 1947; however in later years it progressed to become one of the largest fire services in the North East of England. The first Chief Fire Officer was C.V Hall and was appointed this position on 19 September 1947. The large area covered by the FRS was then divided into three areas, consisting of: Divisions A-C. The Service now has its own training school, workshops and HQ - located in Framwellgate Moor. Relocated to Belmont in Durham from last year.
The Explore
Explored with AR_UK and one of the Fr3eRoamer lads
I had a run past this place a couple of weeks ago in the car and noticed it was disused. so stopped and had a quick look round to check it out for a future look around... Fast forward a couple of weeks and we pulled up to high fence and security. So we decide to give him and knock and asked if we could have a look around and he agreed but asked us to stay out of the buildings...
So after a good wander around outside we were about to leave the site and noticed a door wide open on the main building...It was so tempting to go in there and then but we didn't want to upset anybody.. So after another word with security lad he agreed to let us in as he said we looked like a decent bunch of lads with only camera's and please go careful.. so we did!!
On to the photo's
A Quick look outside...
Now on to the Main building
Whilst taking photos i heard in the distance a rather exited "I've found the pole, I've found the pole, I've found the pole!!!!!"
Be rude not to.......
Thanks For Looking
