Visited with The Stig and Skapunkmetalskater on a bleak wet Sunday and as normal it was an eventful explore lol.

The palladium opened on 18th March 1929. It opened for both film and theatrical purposes but only operated as a cinema. It was the first cinema in Durham licenced to operate on Sundays although on Sundays they were restricted to one evening performance and the programme had to be approved by both the Chief Constable and the Bishop of Durham.

The cinema closed in 1976 and operated as a Bingo Hall until 1982 when it became a Church. In 1986 a number of the cinemas seats were purchased for £1 a time and installed at the city theatre.

It has now stood empty since 2004

We came across a room that looked like someone was living there, but from what was written on the door, someone has just set it up from items found inside the building.

Thanks for looking :thumb

That's half the fun mate, take a look, work it out. It might not be possible of course, whether you get info or not.

Very true mate, I'm very new too this.
It's OK, don't worry about it.

Once you've got a few reports up, just PM the last person who went in. They'll check you out, see you're legit and help you out, hopefully. Saying that, any info is only as good as the date that person went. These places can get opened and closed quickly.

One good thing you could try is going with a high viz jacket and a hard hat on and just explore the outside even, people wouldn't think twice as to what you were doin than if you were in normal civy cloths moochin around the place, then you could even come back once you have found legitimate access with the appropriate clothing and masks etc if needed.

Good Luck
