I guess i should make a contribution as i've been lurking around this forum for a few weeks now!
This is a site i drive past on the way to work, so i popped in one of the afternoons...
From what i can gather, E.W Box and Carton manufacturers was started in April 1934, and went out of business in February 2008.
There seemed to be a sister company called Gluemasters , situated in the same building, which i presume assembled the boxes and cartons made on this site if the customer so wished.
To be fair, this place is a wreck, and is littered with shattered asbestos roofing panels and graffiti. I just thought i would put them up here in case anyone was interested, or if there were any ex employees that wanted to see them in the future, as this site is earmarked for redevelopment with 112 houses and flats planned.
It seems like there are other neighboring businesses that are being forced to move as part of this redevelopment.
