Earls Court demolition plan approved by Mayor of London

"Plans for a 77-acre redevelopment at Earls Court have been approved by the Mayor of London.

"The scheme involves demolishing two estates, Gibbs Green and West Kensington, and the Earls Court Exhibition Centre.

"Developers want to create four 'villages' and a 'high street' and say the plans will create 7,500 homes and thousands of permanent jobs."

Demolition of the two exhibition centres, Earl Courts One and Earls Court Two, is scheduled to take place over a two year period, with the full development expected to take 20 years to complete.

I've been unable to find among the planning application when the exhibition centre is to close nor when demolition begins. The 'What's On' on the Earl Courts website goes into May 2014.

Being such a famous venue, perhaps it may be possible to arrange a permission visit sometime in the future.
