Noticed this place while visiting my brother, thought it would be worth checking out, the building is massive and didn’t appear to have any security. Haven’t been able to find much info about it online, I believe it was an old college though it’s signposted as an NHS building, if anyone has any further info on it feel free to comment with it.

The place was surrounded by the usual 10ft wooden fence, razor wire in places so we walked the perimeter to find a part that had none, that was also quite discreet as it’s on a housing estate. Once over we saw that it was incredibly secure, everything was boarded and the windows that weren’t had razor wire around them. As we were about to give up we noticed a potential entry point and were straight in.

It had a very eerie feel inside, like a scene from the walking dead. There were a lot of areas for plumbing and building work assignments, we probably got half the way around when we noticed there was a van parked inside that was taxed and had a valid mot so expected secca somewhere. On one of the second floor classrooms we noticed a board on the floor that had dog footprints on it, we decided to make our exit at this point, as we went out where we came in a light had come on in a portacabin and we could see someone inside, we made legs and called it a night. Probably revisit again at some point to check out the rest of the place.

Thank you!! I think it’s so untouched because of the area it’s in, they’ve done it up like Fort Knox, literally one small place they thought was inaccessible but if your determined to get in you check every potential access point :thumb

Is this what used to be known as Eastpoint? If so I worked there 20 years ago. Some bits look familiar but then so many 1960's buildings have similarities so I might be wrong.

I’m pretty sure that’s what it used to be known as, the new building in front of it is called East Point and whenever I try to get any info this is what it comes up with?

You do, I have done a few, then been asked how I got in as no access, I revisited some and access was there just had to spot it lol. But we all know the score on some places, accessible one minute then not. So it can be a waiting game, but yep agreed some access points are well hidden :p

This building was Hightown Secondary School. I think it closed in the early 80s then at some point afterwards was renamed the Eastpoint centre and was used as community space/adult education. The new Highpoint centre was built in part of the grounds and the old school building was boarded up. I'm surprised its gone this long without being demolished for housing.
