First stop of the Belgium road trip was of course ECVB!
Had originally planned to spend only half the day in there but ended up spending all day in there......
It just keeps going not that I'm complaining
~ History
It began its life in 1913 - slowly being build - in the museum (which is no longer open to the public) old photos and documents lined the walls showing the steady progress it had made over time.
In 1959, a central ran on coal, oil and natural gas. The current power plant consists of two units: a boiler and a backpressure steam turbine generator.
Today the plant produces electricity for general consumption and process steam to the surrounding businesses.
As we approached, we were met by two other explorers who had just had their fill of Ecvb.
On with the photos....
