So after the Chambre du Commerce (http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=71066) and Chateau du Noisy (http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=71073), the final place before I headed back to Brussels and to Blighty for my friends was the ECVB powerplant.
With only less than two hours to visit the place, we only managed to see the ex-museum part of the plant. We lost precious time guessing whether the noise we heard when we entered was security or not. In the end they were just a local Belgium family - again exploring! So we missed the main sections due time left. Oh well, there's always next time!
What I saw reminded me of some parts of Pyestock, although I need to return to see the other sections and feel like Homer Simpson eating donuts and drinking Duff beer in the control room.
Next to an active plant the ECVB the origins of the plant date to the 1930s and was abandoned in the 1990s. Being next to an active plant seems to have helped in its preservation though.
