Hello, just came back from this Abbey, very sad to see the condition of it merely one year after my first visit. Sadly the parts on the right of the chapel totally collapsed besides the exterior walls. At least this time they put a huge cement light post at the entrance of the Abbey which keeps the trucks away ( as many people came down there to steal metals and stones with huge trucks). Don't think this place will last any longer, petitions have been made to try and save it, but the new owners are not interested in the beauty of the place sadly. Nature has taken over this place and it won't leave anytime soon.

Some history about this place:

The abbey was founded in about 1144 in a secluded valley. The abbey church was consecrated in 1147. The earliest existing charter dates from 1157.The structures were utterly destroyed by the Swedes in 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, and were not rebuilt until 1743. The chapel was completed in 1770. The chapel and the monastic buildings, all in ruins, have been classified Monuments historiques since 1984.
