Cheers. This is the second place we've explored with a historical connection to the Titanic, the first being Lightoller mill. We had no idea until after the explores, seems we've started to collect Titanic related explores by accident. Digging up the history does improve an explore.
All part of the report, really adds to it. I like the history on places. the Titanic is a huge & interesting subject as well.

History - Established in 1898 Eva Brothers Ltd was a traditional Forge specialising in the forging of stainless steel, nickel and other alloys. Their Manchester base was known as Crabtree Forge, and was one of the last traditional forge works to remain in the area. The piston con-rods for the Titanic were forged at this site. After the demise of Steam locomotives in the 1960s, traditional work slowed down and the company began focusing on the automotive industry. They made various car equipment, and blanks for forging car parts. In 1960, Eva Brothers changed its name to Eva Industries. The company eventually closed down in 2005.

Explore - Access to this place is easy. The site is fairly big and there are 3 different buildings to look around, all in all we found this an enjoyable explore with nature now taking over the remnants of the industry left behind.

Thanks for looking.
You should have heard the site when it was working, it used to shake and deafen all Clayton with it's large stamping hammers. Sad that it close like all the other industry round the area.

Been here today, there was a group of east europeans stripping the place, 2 vans and about 6 blokes with stihl saws and other tools, i didn't hang about long cos they saw me taking pics and then came to ask me if there was a problem with them taking the metal, looks like they have had quite a bit away already

Yeah noticed that myself, there’s a guy taking copper here and there but he’s alright
The guys with the van were done with half the site in the half an hour I spent watching them from the roof, absolute shame

I recently went there to do a model shoot, I'd been before in December and the difference now is so disheartening. Scrappers have hit the site big time, we managed to elude some before they left with another van load. It is still a great place to capture. Thanks for posting!

Did you see these? I think they are too heavy to shift - hence the building they were in has been levelled but them left!

Which building has been knocked? Every time I’ve gone it’s lost more and more but I don’t think anything large has been nicked (minus literally every metal box in the whole complex no matter how well attached it is)

There's a wall on the other side just stood on it's own, there had been a roof at some point.

Honestly love this place, its so sad how its been trashed over the years. There's so many amazing pieces of equipment left behind! There is always so many kids there though trying to ruin more things.
