Ewood Bridge football ground Rossendale

While Stand Athletic might have disbanded over a decade ago, the football club's former home in the heart of Rossendale is still standing.
The ground itself can be found between the River Irwell and the East Lancashire Railway line.
As for its footballing past, games haven't been played there for over 15 years, with the ground also becoming the home of Haslingden FC before financial troubles hit the club in 1998.
Stand Athletic moved to Ewood Bridge in 2000, having previously played at Elms Park in Whitefield, near Bury.
Formed in 1964, the club spent a season playing in the North West Counties League at the ground, before returning to the Manchester League the following year.
When they began experiencing financial problems of their own, Stand were forced to return to Whitefield - just two years after moving to Irwell Vale.

The Explore

Was Not Difficult at all. The Usual signage to scare people off. Was just a passing visit for plan to return at some point to get more images.
