Report - Fabbrica Arazzi, Italy - June 2026

I've visited Italy several times over the past few months, and exploring this abandoned tapestry textile factory was definitely one of the highlights. The factory was a small, family-run business, that appears to have ceased operations around 2012. Amazingly all of the weaving machinery remains in place, and it looks as though it could be brought back into use at any moment. The building itself however is gradually deteriorating due to water damage. Although it's quite small, I spent several hours in here because it's just so photogenic and gives you a fascinating insight into a specialised craft. As is often the case with my reports, there are a lot of photos. Pronto 🤌
