Not sure this is the correct description of the site but we went looking for Fan Bay Deep Shelter. Before we found it we came across another hole in the ground and decided to investigate.
Initially we thought it was the Shelter but it consists of only a couple of rooms which I assume is an underground ammo store for the Fan Bay Battery. There is a similar looking hole a few hundred yards away. I don't recall seeing pictures of this place before ? Any ideas ? Picture 1 shows a backfilled hole - again I assume this was the other way out.
