On a visit to Brum for my uncle and aunt's wedding anniversary I decided to give this place a flying explore. The official history of the Father Hudson's Society can be found here - basically catholic priest doing lots of good for underprivileged children. Some abuse, but generally good times. From what I have gathered the St Mary's building was a nursing home.
Unfortunately these days it really has seen better days, and the arson attack in June has certainly taken its toll.
Anyway I thought I would post a few shots of what's left, as the site is due to be demolished imminently. The phrase "polishing a turd" did come to mind more than once when I was sorting through my shots...
