Hello fellow Urbexers!
Thought I'd share some images from my visit to the abandoned site of Federal Mogul Camshafts Ltd. Definitely a day well spent!
I actually went twice in one day, mid-day and then late evening in the dark. Both were great! Definitely one for the day time though to get a real sense of the size of the place! I believe the site is 4 Acres?
I don't want to spend too much time writing out a long description as I believe it spoils part of the fun! I will say it's a huge site, one WELL worth exploring

There are what look to be some old admin offices (possibly the Head Office Quarters) that are in pretty poor condition - the place was vandalised some time ago, but still plenty of original features remain. Also beware an unbelievable amount of fly-tipping has occurred out the back of the site... not pretty unfortunately.
We did spot some motion cameras dotted strategically around the site, however I believe these are fake, and just act as a deterrent because we walked in front of them multiple times on both visits and nothing happened for the whole 2 hours we were there! (But do be careful, avoid them if you can - they look quite new... could go live in the near future).
There are then 6 to 8 large warehouses, all empty with the exception of some old machinery, rubbish and mechanical remains. I cannot express how interesting it was to explore this site - it's one of the new(er) sites around - closed in 2007/2008. Lots of graffiti, most of which done with a lot of care and attention! Some great artwork.
Out the back, there is what looks to be some kind of Social Club/Bar. Be warned there is a severe water leak across the whole site. Several burst pipes, some ground is very soggy and uneven!
Inside the Club/Bar was the old stage, bar, upstairs complete with balcony. DO NOT WALK OUT ONTO SOCIAL CLUB ROOF. STANDING WATER HAS SEVERLY WEAKENED THE FELT ROOF. I STOOD ON IT FOR 2 SECONDS AND THE ENTIRE ROOF SAGGED BENEATH MY FEET. VERY NEARLY WENT THROUGH THE CEILING.
There is PLENTY more to see on this site, and it is well worth a visit. Enjoy the photos, if you have any questions or want to know more, post below!
Thanks!
