Built in the 1800s this Manor house eventually became the only residential clinic for alcoholics in Lincolnshire. By the time it closed in 2003 it had treated up to 2000 people.
The clinic closed due to funding for residential alcoholism treatment no longer being considered a priority. It employed 30 local people and provided 28 beds and nursing care. Normally a detox would take a week to ten days.

Since closure the site has been up for sale for around £1.45m and is now home to all the local pigeons, some horrific wall paper and lots of jazzy carpets.

A nice place to spend some time mooching about, there is a really nice stained glass window over a grand staircase and loads of bits to have a poke around in.

There are also a fair few out-buildings and some stables full of all kinds of junk to have a look through.
