Report - Ferdowse Clinic, Nr Sleaford, Lincolnshire - 04/05/2014

Hi guys

Myself and NursebobII first attempted to explore the old Bass Malting's in Sleaford, but within minutes of being there we unfortunately got caught by the guard

We then decided to head over to Heckington to visit the Ferdowse Clinic, which was very easy to gain access to, and we were not disappointed by what we saw, so the day was not a total failure The gardens and even the house itself is overgrown with vegetation, but nevertheless it was a very interesting explore, and it is definitely worth a visit.

The building was originally a manor house built in the 18th century, and during the 1980's it became a private practise for the treatment of alcoholism. It remained a clinic until 2003 when the government cut the funding for the treatment of alcoholsim.

Nice pics m8. I had exactly the same a couple of months ago, tried the bass maltings secca turned up within a couple of minutes so went ere, enjoyed it very much....

Security is a pain when all we want to do is get some good exploring done, but it's the vandals that ruin it for us Thinking of trying the Maltings again though

Sad to see the fireplace (in the TV room) has gone. Hardly surprisingly though.

Myself and three others visited bass maltings on friday night at about 9.30pm and had no problems getting in. There was a fire in a near by building so that could've played a part in there being no-one there?
The place seemed deserted!

Was the fire at the Maltings itself or elsewhere may I ask?

I failed here last BH. again after getting busted by nice Secca & angry Police at Bass Maltings .....too many neighbours about watching me ( you"re not local this is a local village and Sporty types on the field at lunchtime so i came back at night after 2 other Lincolnshire fails and couldn"t get access in. Not easy when every time you switch the torch on the Pigeons etc create the mother of all noise setting local Dogs off and neighbours etc....i gave up ........God that Village dies at night lol

it was in the warehouse next door but not part of the mill its self we weren't there for very long as we didn't want to get caught and get accused of arson.

Best if you don't post exact times and dates when you were at a particular location.
