May 2011: It was one of those typical situations.
We were in this small city to visit an abandoned brewery and a ruinous power plant, and on the way to the first stop the old letters of a closed cinema were visible on the facade of a large old (and empty) building. The gate to the backyard were open, so we decided to do a spontaneous stop here.
On the way through the backyard full of trash, wild-grown trees and debris we found the stairs up the the projector room:
We were a little bit disappointed first, because there were no projectors at all. But a quick look through the hatch into the auditorium stunned us. The seats were still inside, even the screen and the curtain. And we had luck, after a little bit of searching in the backyard, we found an open door.
And then, as we entered the Foyer, we discovered the most amazing thing. Electricity! Just for fun I clicked the switch, and it became light.
So... just out of curiosity... I searched for the light controls for the cinema hall. Slowly I faded in the lights, and the whole auditorium became visible. No need for the flashlights anymore.

The light wasn't really good inside there.
