Fletcher's Paper Mill, Greenfield - June 2011
Visited over two trips with fishbrain (and non-member 4Q).
BRIEF HISTORY
There have been lots of reports on this place down the years, so I shall spare you the full story and give you just the bare bones... Visited over two trips with fishbrain (and non-member 4Q).
BRIEF HISTORY
Fletcher's Paper Mill was one of two mills operated by Robert Fletcher & Son Ltd for the manufacture of cigarette paper. It closed overnight in July 2001, following the closure of the company’s Stoneclough site after being in operation for close to 200 years.
PART 1
Our first attempt at this place left us scratching our heads and was looking very unfruitful to say the least. Indeed, we failed to get into the main building and, for a while, it seemed as though we'd be leaving totally unfulfilled...
But alas, we managed to at least get into the Boilerhouse.

PART 2
A couple of days later we headed back with a better plan and some excellent intel. Security here do a fantastic job and many of our plans were again thwarted, but we had the last laugh, and this time round we left very happy indeed.
