Could someone who uses Flickr knock me up a simple idiots guide for creating/adding non spammy links to be used in the thread editor for posting reports :thumb

Get ya BB code, the right facing arrow on the right side of your picture you have selected, the 4th option
and remove either parts left and right of [ img ]

So say the full BB code is
flickr.url/7434552675436254.allylawisacunt.com[ img ]https://farm5.staticflickr.com/434623.3674253672_killmeslowly[ img ]jdaHSH_787326.flickr.com

Remove the bits stated:
flickr.url/7434552675436254.allylawisacunt.com(REMOVE TO THE LEFT!)https://farm5.staticflickr.com/434623.3674253672_killmeslowly[img](REMOVE TO THE RIGHT!)jdaHSH_787326.flickr.com

Final link:
[img]https://farm5.staticflickr.com/434623.3674253672_killmeslowly[img]

Had to use fake links, otherwise it shows a blank white box.

@raisinwing mentioned an easier way to aquire a non-spammy back link, hopefully he'll be along at some point to share his method of achieving this lot

Whatever 'guide' we use needs to be simple and minimal

Thanks for the input so far peeps :thumb

Just a test BBCode to see if it still works as it's been a while since I've used bbcodes

That's how I've always done it.

Right, ,found an even simpler way. That avoids having to chop out bits of crap you don't need and also has image resizing capabilities that may be useful to some.

1) Find the image you want on Flickr and click on the thumbnail to open up the full image.
Then click on the download icon, and select "View all sizes". See images for reference:
1.JPG
2.JPG

2) Now you are presented with the image, and a load of sizes to select from. By default it chooses 1024px which is usually what you want. Then simply right click on the image and select "Copy image address".
3.jpg

3) Now go to your report or wherever you want to add the image. Click on the image icon, make sure "by URL" is selected and then paste in the link you just copied.
4.JPG

4) Hit insert and jobs a good'un. (For example...)

Select the picture on Flickr which you want to post on here

Go to the "Download this picture" and select "View all sizes"

1.JPG

Select the size you want at the top of the screen then right click the picture then copy the image address

2.JPG

On the forum you have two options, you can select the insert image button on the tool bar (Ctrl + P) and press the chain icon or use BB code

3.JPG

Repeat until all the pictures are in the report

If you use BBcode you need to post the image url on here with
Code:
[IMG]https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4330/35948460791_a6717d176e_b.jpg[/img]
IMG tags around the address
