While traveling through Romania with @obscureserenity and a non member we spotted a grand substation. It was in use and the security guard wasn't being persuaded in to a lil visit. He pointed over here do we went and had a look.
We find one of the grandest power stations I have seen. Its totally stripped but still worth a look.
The power plant was designed by Emil Prager and built sometime before the communist period.
Owned by the Electric Star Electric Company it was eventually nationalised during the socialist period.
The power station eventually closed in 1971.
Sorry for being brief but it was hard enough to find out what I could.
Thanks for looking
