Wasn't to sure where to post this, but if it's in the wrong place I'm sure a mod will move it.

Not sure if anything has been posted about this place, or any visits have been done. While speaking to a family member recently they mentioned that in there used to be a ballroom. A ballroom, really? so I asked where, (assuming they where talking about the now burnt down savoy building that housed time, envy, Joanna's ect. Which used to be a ballroom.) Turns out i was wrong to assume the location, this ballroom was along osbourne road in southsea, oh and it's still there! But from the front you would not know, as it's now a casino. However the casino havn't used all the space available, they are only using the bottom floor, and top now and again for training. Leaving all other floors in their former glory, and the glory of this place is immense, nothing has changed.

So I took the time to do a little googling, eh! Damn this place is hard to find any info on. But I came across a gem of a website after a few hours of searching.

Want to see pics of this forgotten ballroom?
Well follow this link; http://www.michaelcooper.org.uk/C/forgotten.htm

Anyways if you wanted to visit this place, as it's only entrance is a casino I would highly advise a permission visit if you don't fancy a prison visit. Give the grosvenor casino, southsea a ring, hopefully they allow a few lucky explorers a visit.

That reminds me there's a bingo hall near me that I looked at a few years ago with some very interesting stuff above and behind the scenes, I might just pay a non-permission visit one day when the weather prevents me from drains :popcorn

Never knew that, I vaguely recall where Osbourne Road is and Time 7 Envy - the old building got burnt down? Didn't that used to be a casino

Osbourne Road is down by the sea front isn't it? Haven't lived in Portsmouth for a number of years!
