First report, so tell me if I need to add/remove anything.

The building:
It's proving difficult to find any real history on this building, but it was closed around 2010 as a new comprehensive school wthe as built near by. Before it closed, there were three buildings in Cowbridge being used for lower, middle and high schools, this building used for 6th form students. I'll add to this if I find out more.

My explore:
Gained entry into a very underwhelming passage, considering the appearance of the building from the outside, walked through into what looked like the main hall. Looked almost like a church with great wooden beams arched across the ceiling, and familiar wooden tiled floors, real 'old skool'. A door at the far end creaked open a little which led to the corridors and classrooms, some with lessons still on the chalk boards! Most classrooms had stunning fireplaces in which is a highlight for me as you'll see below. Rest of my explore followed suit with lots of character finds.

Highlights for me:
Fireplaces, beamed ceilings, the main staircase, chalk boards and a letter I found in the head teachers office - pictured below! Ive tried to upload the photos in the order in which they were taken, so you can perhaps get more of a feel of this explore.

Good first report. I do like a Victorian school too.

It's proving difficult to find any real history on this building

I think this was built / opened around 1896 as the Girls High School and was the site of the former Grammar School. You could try searching for history of those.

Awesome thanks for that, I'll have a dig around later. I'm sure there's probably reports of it on here somewhere

Ah my old school. This was 6th Form block during my time at Cowbridge. I left in 2003. The main hall at the end of the corridor was exactly that, with the other hall being the common room. Beautiful period features. But bloody freezing in the winter! So sad to see it like this now. Thank you for sharing
