Visited with Rigsby, Raddog and Speed on our European adventure last summer. Despite its simplicity and wide open status, this was one of my favourite places of the whole trip. Fort de la Chartreuse is as old as the hills. Work began in 1817 and finished in 1823. It's had various uses over the years but now nestles quietly in a residential area of Liege collecting dust.
We saw lots of cats that didn't want to talk with us and wandered off individually to play forts and take photos of old murals. All we needed were hats made of newspaper and catapults and it would have been like having the coolest den in the world.
