HISTORY- this now abandoned paintball battlefield was created in 2008 on the hilly terrain of the formby pine forrest , a stone throw away from the sandy expanse of formby beach . this site was ideal for providing team building exercises for corporate parties , they also catered for school aged groups with less powerful paintguns or pretty harmless laser tag weapons , the site was made to be as realistic as possible with the added addition of obstacles , barricades ,missile sites , rocket launchers ,camouflaged bases , NAAFI , armouries and artillery pieces that look so realistic that you would struggle to tell em apart from the real thing unless you had served in the royal artillery !!!!
on certain games they also had some big fella who would dress up as PREDATOR , his main duty was to scare the crap out of 8 year old kids from the southport n liverpool area , and pull there spines n skulls out while avoiding being shot by some paint !
THE EXPLORE- we had planned on checking shorrocks health spa out ...but we found 3 cars in the front car park and signs of of people inside ! we nearly bumped into a cleaner and her dog bringing a bin bag down the fire escape ! ...so we went round the back of the building to scout out another point of entry , this is when we discovered the paintball area..... a good couple of hours was spent walking the mock battlefield , so a good day was still had by all !..... visited with fellow member @Cazel#HT
