In its own words, "Gardner is one of the aerospace industry’s largest and most diverse manufacturers of finished machined and fabricated Detailed Parts made from hard and soft metals".

After closing its Burnley site in 2010, the Ilkeston site followed a year later, staff being relocated to a new plant in Derby.

The premises are currently still for sale and so an inspection was organised. What was found was a decent sized factory but with little remaining that indicated its past use.

Nice foliage on the side

Looking toward the older part of the site

Inside. A hurried explore, there was work being done on site.

That's all!
