Part of the original Brooklands race circuit


Originally constructed in 1907, the Brooklands race track was the 'Ascot of Motorsport' in its heyday. The outer circuit was 2 ¾ miles long, 100ft wide, with two long straights joined by two sections of the banked curve up to 30ft high. Today only sections of the race track survive, such as this banked curve.

Then and now - the only thing that remains that’s visible is the two air holed grids that are exactly as seen in photo, I’m hoping to be able to lift these and see if the shelter is still present, not everyone’s cupper photo wise but I like creating these ‘merges’*
