Usual story, hundred and something brewery bought out by a bigger fish and closed...
Raddog and OT explored this in '06, so I'm in awe its still there! But it is indeed and is still a cracking explore. Speed and I took in the brewhall, extensive cellars, malt and hop stores, offices and the various outbuildings dotted around the site. Still plenty of brewing equipment left, bottles of ale both vintage and new and even some vintage signage My hands were so so so cold I could not face the rusty ladders down to the well!
All buildings other than the tower are to be demolished in the near future.
This brewery concludes Speed and I's "Brewery of the week" tour 2010 as the list is running on fumes
Anywhere we know?
