Built in 1972, Gilbridge Police Station is an example of the brutalist architecture popular during that era. A stark contrast to the 100 year old stone magistrates court sat next to it. The station closed in 2015 and is pretty much stripped but still made for an interesting mooch. It was nice to be able to get onto the roof for a chance to look at the city from viewpoints you wouldn't normally see it from. Current plans for the station are to turn it into a "state of the art business centre".
Photos are a bit blurry, no tripod or torch but managed to find that the electricity was still on, which helped.... although with the building being slap bang in the middle of the city centre, lit up like a Christmas Tree and a really irritating alarm going off it always makes you a tad on edge.

Not going to mention a day but went here very recently, had to make a very quick dash from the area, building is alarmed. We had security there within like 3 minutes of triggering the alarm and 10 minutes after that there was police all around the building. Nobody got seen, think the car that was parked in the place was a big deterrent. I do advise this place is a no go now
