I originally wanted to do some rooftop shots from a taller building in the docks but the developers pulled it down so I had to climb one of their cranes instead!
This was my first crane climb and although I've been wanting to do one for ages none came up at the right place and time until now.
No problems at all (apart from slight nerves) and it felt safe all the way up although there was plenty of wind roaring through the structure making a dramatic soundtrack to the climb as I got higher.
Now have a newfound respect for you guys who do much taller cranes than this, walking the jib and whatnot!
One of the three cranes on site
One from the first rest-stop on the way up
