visited with @ACID- REFLUX ,
thanks for the help & support doing this.

The Gomersal tunnel is 819yds long,
running from east to west passes beneath the settlement of Gomersal.
The east portal lies in a steep cutting with retaining walls, are in average condition
there's 1 air shaft (capped),
theres refuges on both sides of the tunnel.
The west portal & cutting are in average condition.
This was once buried beneath infill which has recently been removed,
leaving the brick access steps & shaft behind.
The tunnel is mostly water free except for a bit by the air shaft,
the tunnel opened in 1900 & closed in 1966
forms part of the Leeds new route from Farnley (Leeds) to Cleckheaton.

Little update on this tunnel. visited today, brand new metal panels up again the old gate, black vandal paint all over it and spinney spikes on the top. Also west portal fully flooded for around 20ft in looks to be above knee deep.
